Every publicly traded company has a ticker symbol — a short code that identifies it on stock exchanges. When you receive a Blue Collar Pick, the ticker is the first thing listed, and it's what you type into your brokerage app to find and buy the stock.
What a ticker looks like
Tickers are usually 1–5 letters. Examples:
- AAPL = Apple Inc.
- MSFT = Microsoft Corporation
- NVDA = NVIDIA Corporation
- F = Ford Motor Company
NYSE-listed companies tend to have 1–3 letter tickers. NASDAQ-listed companies tend to have 4 letters. Neither matters for how you trade — they all work the same way in your brokerage app.
How to use a ticker in your brokerage
- Open your brokerage app (Fidelity, Schwab, Robinhood, etc.)
- Find the search or "trade" field
- Type the ticker exactly as shown (e.g., NVDA)
- The app will display the stock, current price, and a buy button
Always double-check the company name matches what's in the pick before placing your order. Most apps show the full company name alongside the ticker so you can confirm.
What about ETFs and other securities?
ETFs (exchange-traded funds) also have tickers and trade just like stocks. Blue Collar Picks may occasionally include ETFs. They work identically in your brokerage app — same process, same rules.
